Wanna hear about a quick little tip that'll wildly extend your brush life? You've come to the right place!

Your Precious Brush

Rollers are one of our favorite tools, but even they can't get everything. Sometimes, you've got no choice but to freehand it, and that's okay! The more you use your brush, of course, the more wear and tear it sustains. It's natural, but it doesn't have to lay claim so quickly! With the proper steps, your brush stands to last weeks, even months, longer! As painters, we find it rather nice when our equipment doesn't go out so quickly. It means we can get the job done as fast as possible!

In Preservation

So what do we do? How do we extend brush life? It's pretty simple, actually, and it's all thanks to water! Normally, when you're done with a brush, you wash it down. Make sure you don't have any dried paint left in there to make it stale and rough. That's good, but the secret is to do that throughout the painting process, not just at the end!

That's right, every 30-45 minutes, squeeze the last drops of paint out of those bristles and give the brush a quick wash. Clean it with your brush cleaning comb, dry it off, and head back to work! It takes us just a few minutes to take care of it each time, and the payoff is more than worth it. Without drawing us away from the job for too long, we're able to take care of business with a brush that will last so much longer than expected. Want the same care for your brush? Just follow along with how we do it, and you'll see the results right off!
